Charlie Ahrens is a collaborative director/producer/designer who has worked with diverse artists and organisations to further her understanding of the senses and how they invite deeper engagement in art and the world around us. Roundangle, the company established in 2004 to house all these projects, has won several awards and has been a recipient of many commissions and regular philanthropic, state and federal funding.

The breadth of her explorations include dining experiences atop naked bodies in a forest, to fine dining smell restaurants, partnerships with smell technology companies, to performances in her own home, collaborations with deafblind people and migrant communities in regional Victoria.  She has studied and toured internationally as well as locally. For many years she also ran a theatre company dedicated to sustainability education. Charlie dislikes small talk and loves feet.

Charlie is a member of the Australian Future Foods Lab, contributing her incredible skills across all the Lab’s events.
